Matt Smith and Karen Gillan

It’s official, I’m a Doctor Who fangirl. No one waits in a line for 6 hours in the cold unless they are dedicated! Below is my first vlog on me meeting my first Doctor! I was at the Barnes and Nobles DVD signing event with other Whovians and met Matt Smith (the doctor), Karen Gillan (Amy) and Arthur Darvill (Rory). (Feel free to ignore me mispronouncing Karen’s last name, it was a long day with an early start.) I’ll be posting more pictures when I get some from some friends I met in line and also I’ll be doing a blog post on the screening event on Monday (if all goes according to plan).

If you have the time and patience for the day long line for the screening of not one but the first two episodes of season 6! Check out the super helpful Hitchhiker’s Guide to the #DWlineCon made by Comfy Chair Online ‘Zine. Also continually search the hashtag #DWlineCon made by The Happiness Patrol on Monday for tweets about what’s going on that day.

Screening info is below. Go visit the Facebook event here for more details:

“Doctor Who’s Matt Smith, Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill, Alex Kingston and Steven Moffat join Chris Hardwick (Nerdist, Web Soup) for a BBC AMERICA premiere screening and Q&A on Monday, April 11, 7:00 PM EST at the Village East Cinema in New York City.”

Credit: The pictures taken inside Barnes and Nobles at the signing was taken by my new Who friend Laura thanks so much!

For some beautiful picture from the event check out my new Who friend Reba’s photoblog on the event who’s also an amazing photographer and therefore took much better pictures than me :).
