Arian Noveir created these gorgeous comic book hero splatter paint art series. Once I saw them I immediately fell in love and knew I had to feature them for Picture of the Week! I love the pop art look and how all you need is just enough color and splatter to recognize which hero is featured. Check out the interview with the talented Arian below.
Interview with Arian Noveir:
Hometown/location: I’m from France (born in Iran)
When did you first start creating art?
I was 7 years old when I made my first painting
What made you want to take your artistic skills to the next level?
Other artists, watching Da Vinci, Dali made me want to go further
What inspires you to create art? Music and technologies are my principles inspirations.
Where did you get the idea/inspiration for your super hero painting series ([link])?
I am a graphic designer by trade, and I’m often in search of graphic style, the movie “Thor” let me back into my passion for super heroes and I merge my research and my passion into a series of creations.
What are your favorite comic books?
Batman and Wolverine.
What are some of your favorite artists (fine art, pop art, comic book, etc.)? I love Dali for his folly and Da Vinci for his inventiveness. Andy Warhol and Jeff Koons for the pop art, Chris Bachalo and Jack Kirby for comics.
Do you have any geeky obsessions? If so what?
I’m a geek inside I love technology, manga, super heroes and Star Wars.
If you were on a deserted island what would video game, comic/book, movie, TV show would you bring?
My PS3 and Wolverine and Batman’s games.
